The People’s Pharmacy Webinar: Contamination in Consumer Products
On September 28, 2021, Pharmacologist, best-selling author, and Founder of The People's Pharmacy, Joe Graedon, moderated a webinar that included Valisure CEO David Light, who discussed Valisure's recent findings of benzene contamination in several categories of consumer healthcare products and the significance of these discoveries. Joining Valisure to delve deeper into hand sanitizers will be Dr. James Arbogast, Ph.D., Chief Scientist from GOJO Industries, makers of Purell, and to discuss the impacts of sunscreen quality issues on industry and consumers will be Dr. Christopher Bunick, MD, Ph.D. Associate Professor of Dermatology at Yale University.
Keynoted the webinar was Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03). Rosa DeLauro has been the Congresswoman from Connecticut's Third Congressional District since 1990. She serves as the Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, sits on the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee, and is the Chair of the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittee. She oversees our nation's investments in education, health, and employment.
